The Zeus Arc Vaporizer

Today we take a first look at the new Zeus Arc vaporizer! Not the brands first release, they’ve also put out units like the Zeus Smite+ and neat gadgets like the Zeus Iceborn.

We do an in-depth analysis to really see what’s behind the automotive inspired design. With a gold heatsink and vapor path, haptic feedback, internal accelerometer and other neat features, it seems to be a pretty solid device on paper. Check out what we have to say about the Zeus Arc here in our review!

The Hardware

The Zeus Arc is engineered in Germany providing a robust yet sleek build which reminds us of many of the high-end cars that come out of Germany. The Arc is actually a bit smaller than we first expected! Fitting comfortably and snugly in the hand, the ergonomic lines make it nice to handle and hold. The hard-coat aluminum chassis feels sturdy though not too heavy either while giving it a clean and high-end feel to it.

How the Internet Will Become More Personalized in 2019

[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text]

Once upon a time, the internet was the same no matter where you lived or your personal circumstances. In recent years, however, the means to personalize and tailored websites to different users has increased exponentially. Today, we’re on the edge of a huge shift in the way we experience the internet. From geo-targeting to micro-advertising, new technologies spell the end of the internet as we know it. Whether good or ill, we’ll explore of few the features of this new online experience below.

Geo-targeting, in particular, has taken off in a big way in the last few years. Using the information that’s freely available through your browser, companies can serve up different content depending on your country, IP address, and even city. This technology has been in place for some time and can be seen in action on any one of a number of streaming sites, such as BBC iPlayer, Netflix, or Hulu, which restrict content on the basis of digital rights management. The next step in the development of this technology will be its use as a means of personalizing the online user experience and micro-targeting adverts.

The Wanle iPhone Case Doubles As A Tetris Machine And Looks Kind Of Like A Gameboy

[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text]

This is the Wanle Gamers Console for iPhone, it’s an iPhone case that does double duty as a Gameboy clone with pre-installed games. You know, in case you ever wanted to play a dumbed-down version of Tetris on the back of your $1,000 smartphone.

As you can imagine, the Wanle attaches to your iPhone like any normal case and allows you to select from 10 pre-installed games including Tetris, Tank, Formula One Racing, Snake & Block. And in addition to raised physical buttons, it even comes with a small speaker to playback that glorious 8-bit Tetris theme.

Now, obviously playing Tetris on a super thin, cheap iPhone case isn’t going to be the best version of the game, but it still looks fun. Does anyone remember fun?

It’s available now for a very reasonable $25 and works with all modern iPhones. Sorry Android users, but technically it doesn’t have to ‘fit’ your phone in order to play games, so just grab a roll of tape and make that sucker work for you.

Hands-On With Vizio’s D-Series

[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text]

I’ve had the opportunity to test out one of Vizio’s TVs for the last few months, the 65 inch D65-E0. I’ve come away impressed with it, both with the quality and the sharpness of the image. It’s a full 4K set, with small bezels and a small footprint. The blacks are black, the whites white, and it overall offers an experience I’d have trouble distinguishing from sets that cost considerably more.

VIZIO’s D-Series of HDTVs offer value-minded consumers a wide array of home entertainment options. Picture quality options on various models include HD, Full HD, and even 4K Ultra HD in select models in the 43” class size and above. Most D-Series’ models feature VIZIO’s Internet Apps Plus Smart TV platform for simple access to stream TV shows and movies from Netflix, iHeartRadio, and other popular apps. A handful of newer models have recently been introduced with VIZIO’s SmartCast platform—on 24, 43 and 50-inch models—which includes Chromecast built-in and on- screen. VIZIO’s D-Series also includes a built-in Digital TV tuner for those who utilize an off-air antenna to receive free, over-the- air broadcasts. The D-Series truly has something for everyone.

Chronos 1.4, High Speed Photography On A Budget

[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text]

It’s pretty likely you’ve seen high speed videos before. There are entire YouTube channels built around the technology (like the Slow Mo Guys), and watching these is always fascinating. But of course, making a video like that requires very expensive cameras that easily cost in the five and six figure range. If you’d like to get in on the action but don’t have the Hollywood budget, we’d like to turn your attention to the Chronos 1.4. It’s able to record up to 21,649fps, albeit at 640 X 96 resolution. Alternatively, it can shoot in full 1,280 X 1,024 resolution at 1,057fps. As a matter of fact, it’s called Chronos 1.4 for its maximum data throughput of 1.4 gigapixel per second, meaning that you can trade resolution for speed on a sliding scale while keeping the throughput constant at 1.4 Gpx/s. It looks and works like a normal camera in almost every other respect, compact enough for you to carry around in a small bag, and ready to shoot in an instant. It’s more features that we can possibly list on this article, so we suggest you visit their Kickstarter, where you can also sign up to get one when they become available. Prices start at $2,799, which is about 1/10th the price of a similar camera from the current players in this field.

The HyperDrive Is The One Dongle To Rule Them All

[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text]

We’re not going to make any commentary about how Steve Jobs is probably rolling in his grave. We’re not going to whine about Apple’s increasingly boneheaded design decisions. Instead, we’re just going to leave this right here. It’s the HyperDrive, and it gives you back all the freaking ports Apple took away on the new MacBook Pro. Oh, you don’t think you can work with only 3 Thunderbolt ports and 2 USB-C ports? That’s fine, here’s a sleek, nicely designed adapter that features USB-A ports, a SD Card or microSD slot, HDMI port, Thunderbolt 3-enabled USB-C port and USB 3.1 USB-C port. It’s able to handle data throughput speeds of up to 50GB/s, and full power charging since it handles up to 100W. It’s small enough to carry in a pocket and people are so excited about it, the Kickstarter is now funded almost 5 times over. It’s a $69 pledge, with deliver in March 2017. But hurry up, quantities are limited.
